Since the age of 11, I had a passion for studying, composing, playing and listening to music of many genres. Growing up without the funds for instrumental lessons, I studied music at school until the age of 18 with the aid of a £10 musical keyboard that I bought at a car boot sale.
At 20 I was finally able to splash some money (i.e. my student loan) on an acoustic guitar. Since this point I slowly and gradually teach myself how to play in my free time. Inspired by my studies, I often sit back and listen to albums and other performances from start to finish. It's my way of relaxing and also in identifying techniques and other features used in an artist's work.
Now at 24, I feel that I know a lot of interesting artists, albums and have many observations to share with other people who feel strongly about music. I became a DJ at BAIT Radio in late 2014, focusing mainly on areas of indie rock that's flavoured with ambience and calming tones.
My other interests include exploration & travel, cycling and walking.
